UTC Promotes Uganda at The Bank Of America Marathon
We are especially grateful to Her Excellency Ambassador Robie Kakonge and her dedicated team for their presence, support, and commitment to showcasing Uganda’s natural beauty, rich culture, adventure experiences, and sporting excellence to the American public. It was an honour to celebrate Uganda’s Independence with the Ugandan community on Saturday and participate in the Bank of America Marathon 2026 activities on Sunday.
The Bank of America Marathon provided a valuable platform to celebrate Ugandan sporting talent and promote sports tourism. Five Ugandan participants, including world-class long-distance runner Jacob Kiplimo, represented our nation on the international stage, demonstrating the determination, resilience, and athletic excellence that Uganda is known for.
