Detailed Itinerary
Day 1:Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
(Approx. driving time: 6-7 hours (400 km)
Experience:
- 06:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Start your journey southwest towards Queen Elizabeth NP.
- 08:30 AM: Brief stopover at the Equator Line (Kayabwe) for photos and refreshments.
- 09:30 AM: Continue the drive via Mbarara; admire the changing landscapes — banana plantations, rolling hills, and pastoral scenes.
- 12:30 PM: Lunch en-route in Mbarara town (e.g., Igongo Cultural Centre).
- 02:00 PM: Proceed towards the park, entering through the Mweya or Kasese gate.
- 04:30 PM: Arrive at the lodge. Check-in, refresh, and relax.
- 05:30 PM: Optional short evening game drive along the park edges.
- 07:30 PM: Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel

- 06:30 AM: Morning game drive in Kasenyi plains — spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, hyenas, and warthogs.
- 10:00 AM: Return to the lodge for a full breakfast.
- 11:00 AM – 01:00 PM: Leisure time: swim, relax, or visit a nearby community project (optional).
- 01:00 PM: Lunch at the lodge.
- 02:30 PM: Transfer to Mweya Jetty for the Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise.
- 03:00 PM – 05:00 PM: Boat safari — observe herds of hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and numerous bird species (like the African fish eagle and kingfishers) up close.
- 05:30 PM: Short evening game drive while returning to the lodge.
